Chamber pushes back on waterfront

A formal letter has been sent from the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce to it's members and all interested local businesses this week in response to the news that the Regional Development Australia (RDA) funding application for the Port Douglas Waterfront development has been shelved in favour of a Cairns CBD beautification project.

Chamber President Phoebe Kitto has invited all local businesses, whether they are a member of the Chamber of Commerce or not, to respond to the letter with any feedback on the matter.

The letter has also been referred to the Council and the Newsport will endeavour to bring you any response received back as soon as possible.
