Mossman to Mt Molloy Road repairs
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be carrying out reconstruction works on the Mossman-Mt Molloy Road, from the week commencing 6 August 2012.
The works will repair a 1km section between Ponzo Road and Cassowary Road. This will involve removing the existing bitumen, compacting it with machinery and replacing it with a stronger, more resilient pavement.
The works will continue Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 6 pm, weather permitting, until the end of September 2012.
Single lane closures, traffic controllers, traffic signals and reduced speed limits will be in during construction place for the safety of roadworkers and motorists.
The works may generate noise and dust in the immediate area of construction.
The program of works is being delivered under Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), a joint federal and state initiative. Under these arrangements, the Federal Government provides 75 %, with the State Government contributing 25 %.
