In 1988 Graeme Connors released his landmark album North - and Queenslanders discovered a new voice - one of their own - a singer/songwriter capturing the sights and sounds of their backyards and beaches.  

The title track 'A Little Further North each Year' floated across the airwaves like an ocean breeze on a humid afternoon - and that was just the beginning - Let The canefields Burn, Before the Wet, Cyclone Season and still the songline continues - on a swag of accolades and awards - to The Mouth Of The River and Mosquitoville from his most recent Album 'At The Speed Of Life'.  

In the 'North to Now' concert being hosted by the Cairns Civic Theatre on August 4th you'll hear the songs that made Graeme a Q150 Queensland Icon.
