Finals intensity felt in DNA

Senior finals were in full swing this week with teams advancing from the first round of finals.

Results from Division 1 sees the Young Guns go straight to the grand final with a win over Cougars 27-15.

The Cougars came back in the second and third quarter levelling the score, but in the last quarter Guns' Jarney Thomas dominated the circle bringing the score back up earning her best and fairest honours. Cougar’s Nichelle Pitt was named Players' Choice for her attacking play.

Crocs 1, showing off their new uniforms this week, couldn’t quite get passed Rattle leaving the Crocs out for the season.

Proving to be a close game, Rattle maintained the lead in each quarter with their defensive work, keeping the Crocs out of the circle. Rattle will play Cougars next week for the remaining grand final position.

Jets claimed victory over Ringins this week with a 25-10 win this week, sending Jets straight to the grand final.

Crocs 2 narrowly claimed victory this week over Gunnars 12-11. The Crocs took the lead in the first quarter, but the Gunnars put up a fight to return the game to a close margin but couldn’t quite take the lead.

Gunnars' midcourt, Jodie Kerswell and Crocs' Jane GWilliams were awarded best and fairest for the game.
