29th July Crocs v Cairns Hawks
Playing the second placed team in the competition was always going to be a tough assignment for the Under 12 Crocs, however they did themselves proud in a hard fought game of football on Sunday. In the first quarter they were more physical than ever before, effecting tackles and applying constant pressure in contested situations.
In the second quarter the Crocs continued their attack on the football with some excellent play out of the centre and great goals from Leon Wren, Hugo Corrie and Brayden Wall. While the forward line stepped up the pressure, the backline was equal to the task, inspired by some terrific football from Jack Harrington who putting his body on the line for the team.
The second half saw the Hawks desperately try and stamp their authority on the game, however determined efforts by fast paced players like Daniel Davidson and Billy Thomson kept the Crocs in the hunt at the end of the third quarter.
Finally the Hawks ran away with the game in the last quarter by a small margin. As one of the Crocs best all round efforts of the year, this is a game that made many onlookers very proud.
Goal kickers: Leon Wren (2), Hugo Corrie (1), Daniel Davidson (1), Ben Muia (1), Brayden Wall (1)

Round 7 Port Douglas Crocs vs Centrals
As the final scores indicate, Friday night’s game against Centrals was a real arm wrestle. Played in perfect conditions the boys opened strongly once again proving that last week’s win over the ladder-leading Tigers was no fluke.
In order to feature in this year’s finals the young Crocs have had the unenviable task of having to beat the top 3 teams in the competition over the last 3 rounds. With their confidence growing rapidly and with some very good consistent performances from all the players the boys proved on Friday night that they can match it with the best.
Returning to the team was young Quinlan Cannon who added a lot of bite around the packs. Aiden and Jackson were also handy across the half-forward line giving our forwards every opportunity.
Finding some good form at the right end of the season was the captain, Jake Muia whose on-field leadership was out-standing. Goal Kickers: Charlie 5, Aiden 2, Mitch 1, Ethan 1, and Quinlan 1.
Best Players: Jake, Charlie, Quinlan, Aiden & Jackson
Final Scores: Crocs 10-3-63 def Centrals 5-10-40
Well done boys!
