Emergency services teams attended an accident at Cooya last night at around 6pm after two cars collided on the intersection of the Captain Cook Highway and Bonnie Doon Road.
While investigations into the crash are currently being investigated, it is believed one car may have pulled out in front of the other oncoming vehicle.
An 84 year old man was taken to Mossman Hospital with bruising and a suspected broken hip, but no other injuries were reported.
