Crocs' president report

Well with great belief we travelled to Cairns Saints on Saturday hoping to continue on from our great performances against South’s the previous week.

But it was not to be with the Reserves suffering their first loss of the season in a close encounter. The Seniors, in miserable Melbourne conditions, were under the pump with Saints putting five goals on the board before we woke up.

In the wet conditions Saints were a far superior team and never let us in all day. It was possibly the biggest loss our club has received in our short history. Best players were hard to find but possibly Kirk Bradshaw and big Jules Smith battled all day, and an Under 16 player in for his first game, Michael McKeon, showed he will be a very good footballer.

Need an employee or looking for a job. See our Employment page.

It was amazing to see his whole family including Vic Bertoncini one of his grandparents watching. It was their first game of AFL.

Our co-captain Sam appears to have broken his arm during the Senior game and we hope it is not a serious break.

On a brighter note this week we take on Manunda Hawks at the Crocpit in what will be a great game. Straight after the game we will having our first function for the year - Rubic's Cube night.

You must wear one of each colour of the cube to the function and end up in one colour at the end of the night (should be a laugh). Also it is Bloomys farewell as he heads home to Vic to live. Please support your club and attend.

We still need assistance in the canteen ,so if you can help let Margie at IGA know.

Hope to see you at the Crocpit this Saturday.

Remember $8 roasts on Thursday nights and our raffles at the Courty on Fridays 5.30pm.
