Black Sorrows make a weekend of it

Australian music icons The Black Sorrows bring their latest tunes from 'Crooked Little Thoughts' to the far north starting with one night at the Tanks Arts Centre on Friday May 18th followed by their headline appearance at the annual Port Douglas Carnivale highlight, 'Food, Wine and a Taste of Port' held at Rex Smeal Park, Port Douglas on Saturday May 19th.

They are touring their latest CD release, well actually it's three CDs together in a deluxe book featuring artwork by acclaimed Australian artist Victor Rubin.  It features music, stories and pictures bound together in a stunning hard back version book.

A collection of Joe Camilleri’s Crooked Little Thoughts.  Spanning three CDs 'Crooked Little Thoughts' is flavoured by Joe Camilleri’s years of experience and influences.  With a career that spans over four decades and transcends musical styles and fads, Joe and The Black Sorrows are true legends of our country’s music industry.

There global hits include Harley & Rose, The Chosen Ones and Mystified, to name just a few.

The Sorrows lifted the roof in Tank 5 when they were last here back in 2006/07, playing two fantastic sold out shows seven months apart.

These two gigs will be a great festival of live music in the region.  So whether you want to enjoy a traditional concert or an open air experience with lashings of food and wine, where the dancing is guaranteed to go on 'til late, this is your opportunity.
