22-0 in soccer carnival
Douglas United’s Eurotech under 10 Dragons started their season off on Saturday with a three match carnival in Woree.
In the first game the boys took time to blow the cobwebs away but when they got into their stride their opponents Leichardt had no answers to the Dragons' attacking play. Douglas ran out 10-0 winners.
In the second game the young Dragons again found their form passing the ball around nicely and defending solidly. They overran a strong Innisfail team 4-0.

In the third game the Dragons took on Innisfail again but even with some tired legs the Dragons still had too much quality and the game ended 8-0 to Douglas United.
Goal Scorers on the day were Jack Jenkins 4, Mitch Ralston 2, Conner White 2, Bailey Morrison 3, Jack Carr 5, Charlie Dowling 3 and Jake Read 3.
So with 22 goals and no goals against thanks to great defending by Elliot Adams, Nick Rayner and Lockie Weyand, and safe goalkeeping by Luke Hull, all bodes well for the new season.
