Teams represent at netball carnival

Saint Augustine's School was represented by two netball teams to compete in the Mary Mills Primary School Netball Carnival last Friday at the fantastic Redlynch Central Sports Stadium.

The players, in Grades 6 and 7, trialed for a place in the teams a couple of months ago, and were keen to play for their school against another 18 teams from Catholic schools across the region.

The teams were divided into two pools, of which Saints had a team in each. Team 1, who were predominantly Grade 7s, put in a great team effort over the day to finish third overall.

Team 2, who were mainly Grade 6s, played brilliant netball, especially with a couple of players who haven’t played in competition before, winning two games, drawing one, and losing four.

The girls represented Saint Augustines school proudly with stellar behaviour and all enjoyed a fun day of netball.

Thanks to Gayle Hohn and the parents for transporting the girls to the venue and to Bronwyn Caltiabano for organising the day.
