Mossman golf results
Mick Lancaster hit top form early last week taking out the Tuesday men’s Stableford competition with 44 points. Ben Hill was a shot further back on 43 points and Peter Santarossa was third with 42 points.
Wayne Dowell won nearest the pin on 6, Barry Brims on 8, Mick Lancaster on 10 and George Page on 17.
On Wednesday, Fred Oakes won the nine hole competition with 22 points after a count back to Brett Jurie and Ray Bennetts. John Cameron won nearest the pin on 10, Helen Gabour on 13 and Ken Deuble on 17.
Glenda Christensen won the Thursday ladies competition with 38 points. Gayle Healey finished in second place with 36 points after a count back to Helen Gabour. Helen won nearest the pin 17 and Patti Graham won 6 and 13.
Chisels sponsor day attracted a great field in both the men and ladies. Bill Heath won Division One with 42 points after a count back to Ian Prewett. Des Landy won Division Two with 44 points ahead of Ricky White on 40 points.
Nearest the pins were Brett Jurie on 6, D Cripps on 8, Bernie Boon on 10, Bernie Jack on 13 and Des Landy on 17.
Jane Chidgey won the ladies with 42 points ahead of Trish Landy on 39 points after a count back to Trish Middel. Trish Middel won nearest the pin on 6, Pris Freeman on 8, Bev Cowe on 10 and Shona Barbour on 13 and 17.
The rematch of the Members AFL vs NRL challenge on Sunday went down to the wire once again with the NRL getting over the line with the final match being decided after a two hole playoff.
