Jungle Riders WANT YOU!

Only four weeks remain before the annual Whitelion Jungle Ride from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation.

In preparation for the popular charity bicycle ride, free training rides will take place every Saturday from this weekend until the event proper on Saturday, October 29.

From this Saturday at 6:30am, a training group for intermediate-experienced riders will take a 1.5 hour to two-hour trip, led by Thor from PD BikeWorks.

At 7:30am a beginners group will leaving for a 45 minute to one hour journey, led Actin Fitness’ Nick Carling.

Both groups leave from PD BikeWorks in Macrossan Street and finish at Origin Café in Grant Street, and the training ride is open to all members of the public, whether they are taking part in the Jungle Ride or not.

The Whitelion Jungle Ride is roaring into its third year, raising funds for the Whitelion charity, which helps to empower disadvantage kids through the community so they can break negative life patterns and lead positive, fulfilling lives.  

Register for the 90 kilometre or 180 kilometre Whitelion Jungle Ride, either as an individual or as a relay team.

Narrated by the voice of the AFL and Australian Open Tennis, Craig Willis, it is a moving and inspirational video.

And speaking of the AFL, Whitelion also hosts the annual AFL Final Series Luncheon at the MCG on grand final day, this year for the 11th time.
