The footy finals are here and there are four cracker games to look forward to this weekend.

Geelong vs Hawthorn (Friday night)

This is about as tough to tip as you can get. The Cats just smashed the reigning champs and look unstoppable at times yet Hawthorn can beat anyone on their day.

There’s a lot of money on Hawthorn making the GF this year but I’m sticking with Geelong in an enthralling encounter. I have a lot of time for these Scott twins as coaches and I think Chris will get his boys over the line – just.

Collingwood vs West Coast (Saturday arvo)

Only a fool would look too deep into Collingwood's thrashing last round as they will be all business on Saturday against an overwhelmingly improved opponent in the Eagles.

I can’t speak more highly about how Worsfold’s men have gone about their footy this year and to finish fourth after the wooden spoon last year is mind blowing!

The Pies at the ‘G’ however will be too good and get this one with a last quarter of dominance.

Collingwood by 36.

St Kilda vs Sydney (Saturday night)

This is a do or die game which will end up being a beauty with a big highlight reel. Last year's runners up have finally decided to start playing some good footy and most punters didn’t have Sydney on their radars this year with a new coach.

Expect a spiteful encounter and if it was in Sydney I’d have my dough on the Swannies but as it’s not I’m taking the Saints in a thriller - if they can keep Goodes from being a hero.

Saints by 2.

Carlton vs Essendon (Sunday arvo)

If those first three games aren’t mouth watering enough make sure you leave some beers in the fridge for Sunday.

All the pressure goes on to Brett Ratten and his men as he hasn’t yet won a final as a coach. A loss could mean the end of his contract due to a hat trick of first round exits. This would be a shame for ‘Ratts’ as he’s done a great job this year but that’s life in the big man’s shoes.

Essendon just might pull off the upset of the year on Sunday and make some Blues supporters cry.
