Gruelling workshop for local girls
Nine girls from the Port Douglas Academy of Performing Arts have jumped at the opportunity to attend an "acro/dance workshop" at Barron Valley in Cairns.
For four hours each day they worked tirelessly doing strength and fitness tests, learning new skills and mastering challenging tricks.
"It takes an elite athlete to be a graceful gymnast and our girls efforts were outstanding," said PDAPA's Nelle Norman.

"They came home with a few bumps, a few bruises, sore muscles and huge smiles. They deserve to be recognised for their achievements," she said.
