Friday Night Football returns!
For many sports lovers in the region, the end of the football seasons bring on a period of mourning.
But rugby fans don't have to hang their heads just yet with Friday Night Football at its finest returning to the Mossman Showgrounds with the MPDT Tree Loppers taking on the Rainforest Dragons tonight.
In what has become an annual grudge match between the two teams, the defending champion Dragon team will be looking to maintain their dominance.
Some of the region's finest players will be putting on a show for what is expected to be a large crowd. And put on a show they will with $200 going to the player who displays the most ostentatious try scoring celebration.

A curtain raiser 'Golden Oldies' game will be played at 6pm between past Sharks players which will only add to the entertainment, before the main event kicks off at 7.30pm.
There'll be live music, plenty of food and drinks, and a raffle including a prized Billy Slater signed shirt.
Entry is by gold coin donation ($5 per car), and the event raises money for Matt Jolly's family, as well as the Mossman Sharks. Gates open at 5.30pm.
