Bulls Masters bat auction

Cricket fans have the opportunity to secure themselves a piece of history with an item of memorabilia from the Bulls Master up for auction.

A cricket bat signed by 16 players of the 2011 FNQ Regional Tour has been gifted to the Port Douglas Mudcrabs to help with their fundraising activities.

Players who have signed the willow include Australian cricketing greats Allan Border, Matthew Hayden, Ian Healy, Greg Ritchie, Jummy Maher and Michael Kasprowicz (along with not so cricketing great, Wendell Sailor and a host of others).

Proceeds from the auction will go towards progressing local cricketing talent through the purchase of new equipment and coaching.

To bid on this prized piece, go to the auction page, put in your name, contact details, and how much you'd like to bid and the bat could be yours.

The online auction will close temporarily to enable bidding at the Muddies' Trivia Night on 25 November, before reopening for one final frantic week.

So successful was the Bulls Masters event held earlier this year at the Port Douglas Sports Complex, that talks are under way to bring the game back again in 2012.
