Mossman November monthly medal
Thirty-five men contested the monthly medal for November last Tuesday. John White had the low round of the day with nett 70 and won by a shot to Rob Canning on nett 71. Kym Rowley won nearest the pin on 10, Sam Brischetto on 13 and Leon Baker on 17.
Wednesday saw plenty of good scores on the front nine. Bill Heath won with 24 points ahead of Barry Rouse on 23 points and Ron Smith was third with 22 points. John Deuble won nearest the pin on 6 and Adam Ferguson on 8.
A small field of ladies played a Stableford competition on Thursday which was won by Jane Chidgey with 39 points. Ellen Clark was second with 32 points. Lucy Giles won nearest the pin on 8 and Glenda Christensen on 13.
Ben Hill continues to improve and was too good on Saturday winning the men’s Stableford competition with 43 points ahead of Des Landy on 42 points. Norm Lockwood was third with 41 points. Matty Smith won nearest the pin on 6, Maurice Meth on 8, Peter Santarossa on 10, Peter Cahill on 13 and Ranald Edwards on 17.
The ladies Saturday competition went to Glenda Christensen with 39 points ahead of Pris Freeman on 34 points. Kim Edwards won nearest the pin on 6 and Glenda on 8.
