A year to remember for gymnasts

Having five competitions under their belt for 2011, equipment from four grants ordered and received, and the go-ahead for Council to look into a suitable site for their next project (a state-of-the-art gym facility), our local gymnasts have much to celebrate.

The Mossman and District Gymnastics Club is wrapping up a highly successful year with their Christmas Display extravaganza on Friday night, November 25 at the Mossman Indoor Sports Centre at 6pm.

Gymnasts have been busy rehearsing, and are ready to put on a great show at this free event which will be open for all to attend.

In the lead up to the club’s festivities, we asked four of our local competition gymnasts to share their insights, experiences and aspirations within the club.

Today we speak with Jorja Harvey and Tali Hoye while tomorrow we'll catch up with Della Miller and Shayla Frizelle.
