Thinking caps on at Surf Club

Get your thinking caps on and head down to the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club night as the inaugural K-Star TRIVIA @ The Surf Club kicks off.

Kevin 'K-Star' Eldridge, organiser of the event says he is expecting up to 100 guests on a regular basis.

"There was a previous trivia night in town that was well supported which was a lot of fun and I was a participant in that and enjoyed it so much," K-Star said.

"I went around to a lot of different locations and venues to try and get a quiz night going before settling on the Surf Club because of its wonderful location, its big area, the fact it has got new management and there'll be a good hospitality feel to it.

K-Star said he plans to make the ongoing event no ordinary trivia night.

"I'm going to take the time to research a few subjects and come up with some quirky ones. There'll be a picture round, three general knowledge rounds, a local knowledge round specific to the Douglas Shire, and then we're finishing with a music round."

Great prizes are on offer and the first ever K-Star TRIVIA @ The Surf Club kicks of at 7.30pm with money raised going back to the Surf Club.
