Saints now know the Crocs are back in town!

By Scott Ewert
President Port Crocs

The Crocs had a good day last Saturday with the seniors defeating arch rivals and last years Premiers Cairns Saints 116-112, it was a fantastic win with Campbell Wurrumarrba kicking a little toe poker in the last minute to give the boys a victory.

Unfortunately the reserves had a draw.  The Crocs had 19 men on the ground at the start of the 3rd Qtr with a lead of 7 goals but under the rules of AFL Cairns had their score cancelled to zero. To their credit the boys fought back during the last two quarters to achieve the draw.

The Crocs have the bye this weekend as is traditional for the opening weekend of Carnivale. The club is running a food stall Friday evening at the Macrossan Street Parade and also running the bar at the Queensland Bulls Masters cricket match at Port Douglas Sports Complex this saturday starting at 10.00am and running through the day until 4.30pm.

The Club is calling for volunteers to help out at either event... contact Michael Dollard 0417 037 469 for Saturday or Scott Ewert 0414 800 485 for Friday night food stall
