Rolling into its 21st year, the iconic RRR (Rural, Rainforest & Reef) cross country, endurance mountain bike race is the longest running 'point to point' race in Australia.

The race begins at Mount Molloy and heads outback toward Wetherby Station through cattle country, crossing grids and passing through gates.

After many kilometres of dirt and dust, an endurance and stamina test is provided in the intense hill climbs kick in at Bells Hill, before crossing into the deep tropical rainforest of Black Mountain Road in Julatten and the famous Bump Track, known for its fast, downhill section.

Dropping off the Great Dividing Range into the Mowbray Valley, the riders head out across cane paddocks, before crossing the Captain Cook Highway at Craiglie, and heading down Old Port Road towards Four Mile Beach, where finish line awaits at the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club.

The race starts at Mount Molloy at 9.30am, competitors can be expected to make their way into Port Douglas as soon as 45 minutes into the race, usually covered in mud. There are several age groups in both male and female, from elite riders through to masters.
