Howard, Landy lead Mossman golf

With Club Championships only two weeks away players are searching everywhere to find some form.
Art Howard clicked into form last week scoring 46 points to win the men’s Tuesday competition by four shots to Jack Boyd on 42 points. Art also won nearest the pins on 6, 8 and 10, Don Demler won 13 and D Stevenson won 17.
Trish Landy was the best of the ladies on Thursday winning the Stableford competition with 39 points. Shirley Carney finished second with 38 points and Lucy Giles was third with 36. Lucy won nearest the pin on 6, Ellen Clark on 8, Shona Barbour on 13 and Patti Graham on 17.
Sixty-three men contested the Saturday competition which saw Ian Prewett take out Division One with 38 points after a count back to Sy Dolphin. Rus Watkins won Division Two with 40 points ahead of Bernie Boon on 39 points. Brian Delaney won nearest the pin on 6, Ian Prewett on 8, Geoff Goodwin on 13 and Peter Chrisfield on 10 and 17.
Jane Chidgey won the ladies Saturday competition after scoring 37 points. Tracey Benham finished second with 36 points after a count back to Kim Edwards. Gennai Goodwin won nearest the pin on 6, 10 and 13, Kim Edwards won 8 and Trish Landy won 17.
John Cameron scored 42 points on Sunday to win the Stableford competition. John Reason finished second with 39 points and Sue Kelly was third with 37.
