Fusion brings industry together

Port Fusion will be holding its next networking event on Thursday 24 March from 5pm in the Sunset Lounge and Verandah Bar at the Court House Hotel in Port Douglas.

After the success of the previous Port Fusion events, co-ordinators Tara Bennett and Kirsten Taylor, expect another great turnout for the event.

"Port Fusion is a tourism industry networking opportunity to promote your product and create relationships with people that can benefit you and your business," Ms Taylor said. "This event is ideal for new comers to town or the tourism industry and seasoned operators to come together.

“We’ve had great support at previous events. Now that it is the quiet season there should be no excuses for people to meet up at the Courty for a social drink and a laugh,” she said.

Ms Bennett said the free event recognises the difficulties the industry currently faces.

“We know business is lean at the moment and we need to support one another through tough times, so we’re not charging people for the event, but we’d merely love to the chance to catch up for a drink at the bar and watch the sunset."

Everyone involved in the tourism industry is welcomed to attend.

A cash bar will be available in the Sunset Lounge and meals or snacks can be purchased at the Court House Hotel bistro.

“We’d like to thanks Jason and the Court House team for providing a fantastic venue. It is a perfect time to catch-up now and enjoy some good cheer,” Ms Taylor said.
