According to their media reelase on Friday, Tiger Airways is once again proving its position as Australia’s only true low fare airline, with $1* 'Tiger Raw' fares up for grabs on the Melbourne – Cairns route.

In this latest sale Tiger Airways customers who book a round trip between Melbourne and Cairns have the opportunity to fly the Melbourne to Cairns sector from just $1*.

This week long offer, which started last Friday (4th March) is available to passengers who book online to travel on a round trip between Melbourne and Cairns as Tiger Airways continues to support the recovery efforts in far north Queensland.

Tiger Airways has teamed up with Cairns Airport and Nova FM to create extra noise in the Melbourne market, encouraging travelers from Melbourne to Cairns for a short break while taking advantage of Tiger Airways’ consistently low airfares. Daily prizes for a lucky person and three of their mates were given away on Nova FM in Melbourne this week, which won them a return trip up to Cairns flying Tiger Airways and accommodation in Cairns.

Tiger Airways Head of Marketing and Communications, Vanessa Regan, says the airline is “thrilled to be continuing to support the recovery efforts in far north Queensland. Our low fares stimulate demand and help keep Australia moving,” she says.

The fares from just $1* are expected to be snapped up quick across the
Tiger network.  The $1* fares run until midnight Thursday (10 March 2011 or until the limited seats are sold out).  With air fares so low up for grabs, Tiger’s advice: “Plan ahead, book early and fly cheaper!”
