Meet the Mano Nera cast
Mano Nera, a local production led by Director Jack Haywood and the Douglas Theatre Arts Group, has been receiving rave reviews all over town since the show opened last Friday night.
So we thought we'd gather up three of the play's local stars; Graeme Lees-Smith, Candy Sodastream, and Russel Sawyer (he gets there eventually) for a chat about their preparations for the show, their characters, and their on stage experience so far.

The story of Mano Nera is based on actual events in 1930s Ingham, when brutal Mafia-like tactics were used by a few to extort money from farmers and business people. Mano Nera or "the Black Hand" was the name of the group claiming responsibility for the extortion.
Already having performed three shows to full houses (including the Mayor of Ingham himself), Mano Nera is on stage at the Clink Theatre for the next two weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
We hope you enjoy the interview.
Tickets are available at Origin Café, Grant Street, Port Douglas; Goodies Café, Front Street Mossman or online at www.trybooking.com.
