Johnny Cash comes to Mossman
Johnny Cash will be appearing at Mossman Memorial Bowls Club tomorrow night. Well maybe not the REAL Johnny Cash, but they are delivering the next best thing.
Johnny Cash had recorded nearly 1500 songs on over 470 albums in a career which started in the mid-fifties. A quick review of his career shows he was not merely a successful country artist, but that he is also one of the most successful artists in popular music having put 48 singles on the Billboard 100 pop charts. He was one of the few people in the history of music to sell more than 50 million records.
His career inspired entertainer Dail Platz to create the Johnny Cash stage show, a tribute to man himself. Dail is also one of Australia’s top multi–instrumentalists playing the five-string banjo, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin and fiddle.
Other tributes included in the show include Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels and Johnny Horton.
Even better, the show is FREE! So if you're up for some live entertainment, get to the Mossman Bowls Club. The show starts at 8pm.
