Family fun day set to draw hundreds
Families will be in their element tomorrow as Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre hosts their annual family fun day in Port Douglas.
Mowbray Street will be open to foot traffic only between 10am and 1pm in an effort to raise funds for the running of the much-loved community centre, its programmes and activities.
Organisers Deb Delaney and Belinda Goddard have been busy putting the finishing touches on the event, which drew 500 people last year, and have an exciting line-up on offer.
Included are the AME petting zoo, the Wildlife Habitat will display reptiles, there will be kids tennis, a jumping castle, a sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea, face painting, story-telling, a gymnastics display by the Mossman and Districts Gymnastics Association and a dance demonstration by Nelle?s Dance Academy.
The fire brigade will also have their famous squirt car in attendance, along with local emergency service representatives and horse and cart rides.
Live entertainment will be provided by local band 'Greened Out', and the Hog's Breath pig will be wandering the street visiting the kids.
Admission to the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre's Family Fun Day is free. Why not turn out to support a great cause?
