It has been a couple weeks since you have heard from me due to the school holidays but games in the Douglas Netball Association comp start back next Tuesday.

But in other netball news, a game we will be playing this Saturday when Port Douglas will be competing against the Cairns Saints netball team.

This is an annual event and very exciting as the Cairns Saints are a top team in the Cairns region, and this opportunity only comes around once a year.

For the first time two games will be played (A grade, B grade) followed by the afternoon AFL football game between the Crocs and the Saints.

The games will start at 12:30pm followed by a short presentation and drinks and then over to support the AFL for the afternoon.

The day will be a showcase of some of the best skills from the two sports in the far north and I encourage all sports lovers to come down for the day.
