Police bites

An incident involving two patrons of a Port Douglas restaurant has resulted in a local resident being taken to Mossman Hospital with back wounds.

Mossman CIB are investigating the incident to determine how the wounds were sustained, however it is believed a glass may have been involved.

Whether the wounds were caused intentionally is also under investigation.

Damian Smith, the man who sustained serious injuries in Grant Street last month, has had his life support system turned off. Mr Smith remains unconscious and the cause of his injuries remain undetermined.
