Men’s Results

The 2011 B grade Club Champion is Grant Banks after defeating Nev Tesch on Sunday morning with a score of 24 to 14.

Social bowls on Saturday had a very strong field of 42 bowlers. Winners of the day were the Peter Gorsh skipped team of Tony Pisot and Gary Zillfleisch with a margin of 22. JacThe kpot was not won and now sits at $300.00.

This Sunday morning's games are Bob Day verses Nev Tesch in the Handicap Singles. The name sheet is up for the Sugar Festival.

Ladies Results

Congratulations to Maree Crees and Barbara May on winning the 2011 Graded Pairs final after defeating Janice Brlyack and Jean Marsh with a score of 28 to 19.

Social bowls was played with Robin Petrus and Glenise Sharp (19) defeating Denise Highland and Margaret Cooper (18). Joan Day and Carol Maxted (19) defeated Jan Gard and Estelle O’Rourke (15).

Maria Mijo and A White (21) defeated Bev Zillfleisch and Val Sharpe (16) and overall winners were Maureen Tucker and Sonia Edwards (23) defeating Clair Holloway and Greta Burke (9). Raffle winner was Carol Maxted.

Graded Triples start Thursday 4 August with Val Robinson, Bev Zillfleisch and Robin Petrus vs Carol Maxted, Clair Holloway and Jan Gard. Greta Burke, Barbara May and Maree Crees vs Joan Day, Margaret Cooper and Zena Girgenti with the winner of this game to play Maria Mijo’s team.

A meeting is to be held on Thursday 11 August and selectors are Maree Crees and Jean Marsh.

Ladies are reminded that as of the 4 August games will be starting at 1.30pm with names in by 12.30pm. Please put your name in for the Sugar Festival.
