As many as 100 entrants are expected to take part in this weekend’s Carlton and United Breweries (CUB) Classic at Mossman Golf Club.

The 36-hole individual stroke event will see a total prize pool of $1500, with daily nett and pin shot prizes up for grabs.

And with the Mossman course currently in great condition, the new motorized buggies now in use and lots of interstate tourists visiting the region, the event on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August is sure to attract golfers from all over Australia.

Players have up until this Friday to register the open event by contacting Shane Heath at Mossman Golf Club on 4098 1570. Cost is $10 each day for members, and $15 each day for non-members.

Meanwhile, the club’s restaurant is still serving fabulous Thai meals each Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 5.30pm, and by all reports, the meals are aroy (that’s Thai for delicious).
