Competition was close on Tuesday in the men’s Stableford competition with a count back deciding the top three.

Brian O’Connor was awarded the win for 40 points ahead of Laurie Southern and K Rowley also on 40. Nearest the pins went to Rick Herschell on 6, T Smith on 8, Brett Jurie on 10, Wayne Christensen on 13 and Ralf Middel on 17.

The Thursday Ladies played a flag competition which was won by Judy Onto on nett 70 ahead of Kerri Williams also on 70. Nearest the pins were won by Lorraine Skinner on 6, Kate Brims on 8 and Trish Landy on 10.

Alan Rudd broke the shackles for a win on Saturday in the men’s with 45 points ahead of Russell Jeffrey on 43 points. Nearest the pins were Bill Heath on 6, Bernie Jack on 8, Ian Steley on 10, Ian McDowall on 13 and Chaz McSween on 17.

In the ladies Lyn Heimann won with 37 points ahead of Pris Freeman on 36 points. Trish Landy won nearest the pin on 8, Bette Wells on 13 and Shona Barbour on 17.

On Sunday the men and ladies played the annual 27 hole Foursome’s Championships.

Jenny Rowell and Tracey Benham lead the way for the ladies with 131 just one shot clear of Shona Barbour and Judy Onto on 132. Bette Wells and Nora Demler won the nett with 102.75 ahead of Jenny Rowell and Tracey Benham on 106.25. Shona Barbour won nearest the pin on 6 and Julie Hooker won 8.

In the men’s the lead changed several times before Shane Heath and Broz Jurie got over the line for the win with 121 ahead of Dave Nesbitt and Peter Hornsby on 126.

Art Howard and Russell Hooker won the nett with 101.75 ahead of Shane Heath and Broz Jurie on 104.5. Adam Ferguson won nearest the pin on 6 and Peter Hornsby won 8.
