The Eurotech Douglas Dragons Under 9s played out a hard fought 4-4 draw against Centenary Comets in Cairns on Saturday.

The Dragons played themselves into a two goal lead both well taken goals by Jake Read.

Lapses of concentration by the Dragons allowed Comets to snatch two goals back before half time making the score 2-2 at the break.

The Comets came out stronger in the second half putting themselves into a 4-2 lead.

The Dragons didn’t give up and a great goal by man of the match, Charlie Dowling,
pulled it back to 4-3.

Douglas kept pushing for the equaliser and a wonder strike by Jack Jenkins equalled the score at 4-4 right on the final whistle.
