The Audreys getting tanked up
For just one night on October 22nd, The Audreys are coming to the Tanks Arts Centre to perform and promote their latest album, "Sometime the Stars' which is being released just before this live concert on Oct 8th.
The Audreys are one of Australia’s highest profile roots band, with both of their albums 'Between Last Night and Us' and 'When the Flood Comes', winning Australia’s Grammy (ARIA) for The Best Blues & Roots album in 2006 and 2008. 'Between Last Night and Us' is also a Gold certified album.
They are the critics favorite in Australia, with both albums appearing in the best album polls of those years, including the new album making #39 on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 albums of 2008. And this new one due out shortly will no doubt be enjoyed the same.
Their music has appeared in several high profile international and Australian film and TV productions, including One Tree Hill and an entire six-part TV drama Rain Shadow, which exclusively featured instrumental and album versions of the band’s music.
Fronted by the beautiful and enigmatic Taasha Coates, The Audreys have built a large and loyal Australian fan base through intensive touring. They are coming to Tanks to promote their latest album.
Tickets for the Tanks evening are $30 / $25 (conc). Doors Open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. There will be food available on the night themed 'Flavours of India'.
