Ladies Day a roaring success

The ladies came out in force to support the Port Douglas Crocs' final home game last Saturday, with over 70 beauties and beaus enjoying the Ladies Day afternoon of fun and frivolity.

Organisers, Nikki Richards, Kathy Williamson and Carol Fleming were thrilled with the turnout saying everyone had a wonderful time.

“We were hoping for about 50 people so to have nearly 80 was a wonderful result” said Carol.

“We even had a group of ladies from one of the parks who holiday here each year and support the Crocs during the season. How good is that?” she said.

The champagne flowed under the big marquee before the group indulged in an amazing spread sponsored by the Sabaya Resort and complimented with contributions from the Ladies Day organisers.

The major raffle prize was won by Cathy and ‘Nicho’ Nicolson, club stalwarts and popular winners.

Cathy and Nicho will enjoy a fabulous overnight stay at the Peppers Beach Club and also enjoy spa treatments valued at over $700.

Organisers wish to send a big thank you to all the raffle sellers who did an incredible job

Congratulations to Sharon Gallery who won the ‘Most Amazing Raffle Seller’ prize of a $100 Peppers Spa voucher.

Other big winners on the day were Margy and Bruce Wynn, Carol Evans and Melinda Cox taking out the ‘Dressed to Impress’ prize.

However all ladies were winners on the day. Everyone at the function received gifts, giveaways and vouchers courtesy of Peppers Spa at the Beach Club.

“What a really fun day it was,” said Carol. “Thank you all so very much for your support. See you all same time next year,” she said.
