Hong Kong gets a taste of Australia

 

Tourism Australia continues to push its latest global marketing campaign, 'There's nothing like Australia', this time visiting Hong Kong.


The campaign will carry on the concept of the interactive map of Australia, showing images and stories submitted by Australians.


“The map is translated into Chinese allowing consumers to enjoy reading through lots of authentic travel stories and pictures of Australians," Tourism Australia Regional General Manager of North Asia, Mr. Johnny Nee said.


"These special experiences definitely will generate new inspirations for travellers to plan their next holiday in Australia.”


In the 2009-10 financial year, nearly 13,000 travellers from Hong Kong came to visit Tropical North Queensland.


Local tourism body, Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree, plan to tie in with the TA campaign, but were unable to comment further.
