One of a KIND talent quest

Forget the X Factor and Australian Idol, the KIND (Kids In Need of Donations) 'Look who's got talent' quest is the one our region's budding entertainers want to win.

Event organisers are holding auditions for anyone who can sing, dance, juggle, jump, or joke on Saturday, 23 October at the Clink Theatre from 9am to 4pm.

Students will kick thing off in the morning while the over 18's will strut their stuff in the afternoon. From these auditions finalists will be selected to perform that evening.

KIND offers discreet emotional and financial support, and donations go towards helping families with sick children cover the cost of medical and associated expenses.

"We currently have six cases, and we've helped 12 in the last two years with expenses such as specialist treatment in Brisbane," said KIND secretary, Jenny White.

Individual and group acts are invited to enter, and entry forms are available by calling 4098 5765 or by emailing dee.landers57@gmail.com.

Entry fees for students are $5 each or $10 for a group, and in the over 18's, $10 for individuals and $20 or a group.

People are invited to be part of the audience for the Grand Final starting at 6.30pm, with tickets available at $20 for adults, $10 for children, or $40 for a family (two adults, two children).
