Pringle goes into Oprah-drive

A large crowd including a strong media contingent were on hand to witness the unveiling of a new version of the Australian Muster Experience (AME) on Friday.

According to an AME press release, Friday’s run-through of the new show was being undertaken to highlight the dramatic series of events in relation to mustering that have been recently filmed on Pringle’s Mount Mulligan, Rocky Point and Daintree Station properties.

However, The Newsport is led to believe that the purpose of Friday's event was to film the AME experience in order to submit a proposal to the producers of the Oprah Winfrey show with the view to attracting the megastar to the breath-taking property.

When this theory was posed to Mr Pringle he hinted this could well be the case.

"Where there's smoke there's fire," he said. "I can't deny she's coming, but I can't confirm it either."

While it has already been announced that two Oprah shows will be broadcast from the Sydney Opera House, she has hinted that the site of the third show is at a "secret outback location."

The latest version of the AME show includes helicopter mustering and brumbies, as well as traditional favourites including cattle dogs, stockmen, and theatre and music.

Mr Pringle's properties have recently been the site for the filming of Tom Hanks’ HBO mini-series production of the World-War II drama 'The Pacific' which screened on Channel Seven earlier this year.
