Don’t think, DO!  That's the motto of this new Port Douglas Event.  On Saturday morning, and in glorious conditions, the first of the Plantation Resort Tri-Port SuperSprint Series was held with 16 participants challenging themselves with a 200m swim, and 7km cycle, before striving for the finish line with a 2km run.

Alan Porteous took out the men’s event in a time of 26 minutes and 7 seconds, while Kelly McNamara was first over the line for the women in an equally impressive 28 minutes and 49 seconds.

With such great camaraderie among participants (this reporter got an encouraging cheer while crawling across the finish line in last place), it really is about having a go, making new friends, and enjoying a well earned ale and hamburger at the end of the event to undo all of your good work.
