Celebrated Melbourne based comedienne, Miss K is getting all hot and bothered as she makes final preparations for her 2 night cabaret stopover at The Clink Theatre in Port Douglas during Carnivale 2010.

Miss K is bringing her sensational new show 'Hot Spell, A Vixen in the Sun' to The Clink on Wed 26th and Thursday 27th May starting at 7pm.

This show written by Klara McMurray is the final part in Miss K's trilogy of sassy, sexy and semi-insane shows which include original songs and music by Miss K and her disconcertingly strange offsider Captain Funk.

And the story line ?.......Well after lying low in Trieste, Italy, Miss K and Captain Funk return to their home roots to find themselves engulfed by the city's worst heatwave for centuries. The show opens with Miss K perched on a banana lounge in front of the automatic doors of a shop trying to stay cool as the doors open and close giving moments of relief from the air conditioning inside. The heat is too much however and the already tense relationship between Miss K and Captain Funk swells towards explosion. The show is philosophical, comical, musical and satirical exploration of life where the line between sanity and insanity is fast melting!

Aaron Thomas - local stand-up comedian performing his first professional gig. he is true young talent in this region with lots to say.

Danny Ross - returning from his new home of Sydney this multi talented musician will warm us up with his original works.

Interval - Benny and the Clones will entertain whilst the audience takes a break for refreshments at the bar. This trio originally from Melbourne now reside in Port Douglas.
