Zinc Restaurant and bar had a full house for their Domaine Chandon Carnivale 2010 Luncheon on Friday 28 May. Some 120 guests were treated to a superb 4 course degustation experience with complementing wines from the Domaine Chandon label after having had a refreshing glass of Veuve Cliquot French Champagne on arrival.

The company was convivial as is always the case at this function.  Old friends meet and new ones are made, it's just that kind of gathering.

The wonderful Zinc staff were attentive, generous with the all inclusive wine package and nothing was left to chance all afternoon.    Each dish was beautifully presented and the mix of tastes and sensations that each dish produced is something we have learnt to expect from this establishment as one of our topline lifestyle restaurants.

But great food is something we should never take for granted so well done to the Head chef and his team for making the afternoon so memorable.  Owner Marco Piat was, naturally, the host for the afternoon and made sure that he and his staff generated an event to remember.

This was the sixth luncheon and it felt like there was a larger assembly of diners this year than last.  Let's hope that everything, like this very pleasant experience, this year encourages more visitors to our very special jewel of the pacific.   It will be high standards like this that keep people coming back for more...Well done, Marco and the Zinc team.
