The Facebook page for tourismportdouglas.com.au called PORT DOUGLAS has just passed the 3,000 Fan mark, in fact it flew through past the 3,000 Fan mark with nearly 100 fans signing up in the last 24 hours to take the total Fans as at today of 3,068 and growing as this story goes online.
It’s interesting to note that the latest figure for Followers on the Port Douglas Twitter page is also charging toward the 500 mark eagerly following our destination news.
Social Media has established itself very strongly for Port Douglas in the last 6 months and has become a vital part of the tourismportdouglas.com.au and Newsport services by creating more awareness of our region through these new mediums and keeping at the forefront of new Social Media sites like Google’s new BUZZ interface to make sure Port Douglas stays as the leader of destination marketing.
