Last reminder for Julatten Fundraiser
By Roy Weavers
The organisers of the fundraising gig on Saturday March 20th have asked us to remind everyone that the gig starts at 11am and goes through 'til late. This fundraiser is being organised to help the medical costs and the family of Autumn Cox who lost her arm in a freak ride on mower accident in mid February.
The whole day is being hosted at the Julatten Highlander Tavern. There will be raffles, auctions, BBQ and an amazing line-up of local muso talent This is a line-up you'd pay serious money to see at one of those all day festivals like Soundwave or Big Day Out.
The list of prizes for the raffles and auctions provided by the local business community reads like the must see, must do's from the who's who of the Douglas Region.
They include Poseidon, Sailaway, Sky safari, Haba, Shantara Resort, Meridien Resort, Jo-Elz, Bartolos, Sugarworks, Face and Body Studio, Mountain Retreat, Dabble Inn, JDs Mossman, Tribe Mossman, Mossman Bait & Tackle, Chiefs Mexican Restaurant, Port Douglas Fuels, Home Hardware, Imagine Mossman, Goodyear Mossman, Rainforest Habitat, Wellness@Port, Grubs Trike Tours, Port Douglas Print and Panel, National Rugby League and Grub tells us there is even more now!
You can buy entry tickets on the door and raffle tickets throughout the day but you can also buy them pre-event from The Reef Adventure Centre in Port Douglas, Nine Mile Store in Julatten and Foodworks in Macrossan St, Port Douglas.
Everyone is welcome, so get along to this fantastic day of music, fun and support.
