The inaugural Trinity Honda/Port Douglas Police Charity Golf Classic tees off on Friday 16 July from 11am at the Mirage Golf Club.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre, and you'll have the chance to win some fantastic prizes for the longest drives and nearest the pin. Oh, and did we mention you can win a car if you sink a hole in one?

But if you're golf is as bad as mine you might have more luck with the raffles and auctions which will be run throughout the day.

Leigh Marriott from Port Douglas Police has big plans for the future of the event. "We're hoping to get enough support this year to make it an annual event and continue to help local charities." he said.

The 2 person ambrose event costs $75 for each player, and you'll be treated to a BBQ lunch as well as drinks after your round is over.
