The Douglas United Football Club is holding a Soccer Mums and Friends Lunch at Billy's By The Sea on Friday from noon, to raise funds for the club's juniors.

Around 30 supporters of the club are expected to attend, and a raffle will be drawn with great prizes donated by local businesses. Event organiser, Yvonne Carr, was grateful for their support

"We've had Lou's Hair Images in Mossman, Possum's Beauty, Massage By Kim, Astute Office Solutions, and Austart Homes all donate prizes including hair and beauty services, and bottles of bubbly." she said.

"We tried to get Josh and Sam from tourismportdouglas.com.au to strip for us but they declined."
