Pacific Blue heads north for winter

Brisbane will be the major winner from Pacific Blue's new winter schedule with an additional flight per week from Hamilton and Dunedin, both in New Zealand.

Sydney on the other hand will no longer see direct flights from Hamilton, according to Virgin Blue's industry newsletter.

CEO Mark Pitt said Queensland continued rack up the numbers in terms of travellers, and Pacific Blue will continue to try and match supply with demand.

Let's hope we see a few new connecting flights to Cairns in the near future.
