Our friends David and Tyna, from Solar Whisper Daintree River Cruises told us that last week they had some stunning days for wildlife spotting.

On one of their cruises last week, their trippers couldn't believe their eyes when they saw mature crocs Scarface and Fat Albert and mature females Dusty and Elizabeth plus an assortment of little crocs actively out and about on the river.  

Hanging in the trees cruisers were thrilled to see a Blossom bat, a Tree Snake and a Python, a pair of Jabirus being circled by a big Sea Eagle, four different Kingfishers and the beautiful Rainbow Bee Eaters washing in the river right beside the boat.

Of course, wildlife spotting is not always this diverse, but there is always something interesting to see and the scenery is stunning.
