After the resounding success of ARTescape in the previous four years, the Cairns Art Society is continuing with a bigger and better ARTescape 2010, from 19 to 23 July, at the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns.

ARTescape is a five-day program of concentrated workshops, endorsing fundamental techniques whilst encouraging freedom of expression to challenge and build on your individual artistic style.

This year sees the return of a number of popular tutors including Archibald Prize finalist Fu Hong, as well five new tutors.

Interstate and overseas artists can escape the winter and spend this time getting to know their tutor's best kept secrets and tips in our perfectly mild climate of the tropics.

ARTescape 2010 will bring together a considerable volume of talent and experience at this unique venue. Being set in the Botanical Gardens it lends itself to the influences of the natural realm, ideal to inspire you. Accordingly, birds, plants, flowers and landscapes will be high profile themes in the workshops.
