Passenger in Port for one-off gig

There's a great reason for Port Douglas music lovers to be excited, with a gig on Friday 17 December at the iconic Central Hotel sure to attract a crowd.

Cast your mind back a couple of years and you may remember the wonderful Lior was performing at the Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns.

Anticipating a night of stunning music from Lior, you may be forgiven by overlooking his little known UK support act, Mike Rosenberg who goes by the name 'Passenger'.

But it wasn't long before he endeared himself to the crowd, who were blown away by his talent and quip. As a result the 26 year old Brit has received great support from Port FM who have been playing him consistently ever since.

Formerly a five-piece band, Passenger, who has been compared to Van Morrison, Neil Young and John Prine,  has now gone back to basics through a series of lengthy busking journeys across Australia, America and the United Kingdom.

Recently touring with Boy and Bear, he has been promoting his latest album 'Flight Of The Crow' , which features amazing Australian acts such as the Philadelphia Grand Jury, Josh Pyke, Kate Miller Heidke, Lior and Katie Noonan to name just a few.

Passenger received glowing reviews in Rolling Stone Magazine last month (rating his new album a very respectable four out of five stars), and we are excited to announce that his night at The Central will be his only Far North Queensland gig this year.
