Tanks Arts Centre has confirmed that Tim Finn is going to be playing there for one night only on Friday 8th October.

His illustrious career to date has spanned almost 40 years being part of legendary bands such as Split Enz, Crowded House and The Finn Brothers.  And whilst it seems that Crowded House has reformed it isn't impeding Tim from pursuing his solo career.

Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns is priviledged to be included in his latest tour itinerary.

Tim Finn has been a seminal influence on the Australian/New Zealand music industry from as far back as 1971 when he and his brother, Neil, formed Split Enz.  Crowded House then followed in 1985 and is still current today, with a few breaks along the way but those breaks have often produced collaborations for the brothers to consolidate and further their immense natural talent and influence on both national and international music.

Tim has always enjoyed a successful solo career as both a performer and songwriter.  He has released nine albums.  He has even had success within the movie business by contributing a song to the soundtrack of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe entitled “Winter Light,” and he guested on Peter Gabriel's song "Whole Thing" from the 2008 album Big Blue Ball.
